Alright
We’re reaching endgame content. While I am trying to make this guide as spoiler-free as I can, it is impossible to avoid them entirely. Whereas the main game is roughly open world, in the sense that “later” levels do not spoil earlier ones, the endgame is linear. If you look ahead, there is NO WAY for me to protect you from spoilers. Some of the images of the map or levels WILL SPOIL the previous map or levels. Once again, there is NO WAY to avoid this. I will make sure to hide as much spoil-y text as possible, but pictures will absolutely spoil things if you decide to look ahead. If you only look at what you have already completed and what you are currently working on, there will be no spoilers. I repeat this multiple times in this one paragraph to make absolutely sure there is no confusion. DO NOT read ahead if you do not want the pictures to spoil things.
Once More to the Overworld
In the previous page, I mentioned you should solve 09 and 10 normally, but that there are special ways to solve them. SPOILER: There will be many levels like this. Keep in mind that if you want to have 100% completion, you have to solve every level normally, even if you solved it the weird way first. If you have solved the weird way, then there is no longer a very easy way to tell whether the level has been solved normally, so I highly recommend you ALWAYS solve levels normally first.
Level 09: Fragile Existence
Hints
Gentle Nudge: You notice how, if Level is Weak, the entire level gets affected?
After solving this level, your map will change. Just looking at it will spoil things. DO NOT READ AHEAD. I will not print this message for any other level, so make sure you always stop at the level you are on.
You should now be looking at this. There is one more level to do, but you can also experiment to see what this new change allows you to do. Why is that? Is there something else on the map that allows for this?
Level 10: Hostile Environment
Hints
Gentle Nudge: There are two nouns this level can be. Which one is more useful?
Okay, so you now have a Baba and a Flag. What can you do with these? Why is that allowed?
If you want, you can do that now. However, there is one more thing to do first, so I’m going to show that below. To figure that out, you have to learn how to do something very special with the Cursor. First, try to get to the state I show in the pic below.
Notice where Baba is. Notice also that Baba has a cursor around her, meaning the cursor was able to leave the dotted line. Experiment to see how this is possible and how to make this happen easily. In later pages I may explain how to get the cursor onto Baba as a part of some other hint, so please figure this out on your own first.
So, now that you have a free cursor, what can you do with it? Is there perhaps something on the map that you’ve been looking at since day one that you couldn’t access yet? The next picture will be of this level, so please find it first.
Secret Level
Difficulty: non-existent
Hints
Gentle Nudge: Hold on, there's no Baba is You or Flag is Win rules. How are you able to solve this level?
Bigger Nudge: The rules have to exist somewhere... can you find them?
Now What?
Well, if you solved the secret level, you should be looking at this:
This is from a file where I played all the main game levels only. You don’t need to have solved all 164 puzzles, but if you do, this is what you see. All map pictures are going to show puzzles and orbs, so keep in mind - AGAIN - that if you look ahead the pictures will spoil things.
What next? Well, you know the rules of the game. The endgame is just getting started.
